LAMBETI, ELLI (Villia Attikis, 1926 - New York, 1983) Great theatre and film actress, she studied theatre at the Drama School of Marika Kotopouli and in the age of 16 she kept the leading part in Hauptmann's dream-play "Hannelles Himmel-fahrt". Between 1946 - 1948, she played at the "ART THEATRE" ("Glass Menagerie", "Blood Wedding") and in 1952 she founds a theatre group together with Dimitris Horn and Giorgos Pappas. Wonderful was her acting in "Goetz," "The Heiress", Wilder's "Our Town", Williams' "A Streetcar named Desire" and De Filippo's "Filomena Marturano". Great was also her acting at the cinema. |
