NEZER, CHRISTOPHOROS (Athens, 1899 - 1970) Self-taught actor, one of the greatest of the greek theatre. He made his first appearance accidentally in 1909 in the group of Ev. Paraskevopoulou and remained a protagonist of the greek stage for over 50 years. In 1921 he founded together with Emilios Veakis the ART THEATRE COMPANY and in 1929 the GROUP OF GREEK ARTISTS. He served the plays of the classical dramaturgy with extreme consi- stency and succeeded in keeping the leading roles in all of the eleven Aristophanis comedies in the Epidaurus' and Athens' Festival. |
