(Zakynthos, 1840 - Athens, 1928)
Actor and manager of theatre companies, one of the main establishers of the greek stage in the 19th century. In 1867-68 he collaborates for the first time with Pandelis Soutsas and from then on his presence will be prominent and extremely important for the evolution of the greek theatre stage till the beginning of the 20th century. After 1875 Tavoularis will become the sole director of the Cooperative Theatre Company "MENANDROS" with which he presented magnificent plays of the universal dramaturgy.
